Committee Updates

Stoneledge Landscaping Committee Update - April 2026

Spring is in the air, and the Landscaping Committee has been hard at work helping to get Stoneledge ready for summer fun. While we are busy with all that needs to take place in the Spring, we have addressed over 40 projects since November of last year.

Project Progress:

1. Mulching & More

Willow Tree is busy with weed spraying, Spring pruning shrubs, and fertilizing which will be followed by mulching. Mulching is expected to take place during the week of May 11. As a side note, we do not mulch in the air conditioner areas. If you have applied your own ground cover, a light layer of the community-wide ground cover will be used as a "topper" to provide for the desired look of continuity to common areas.

2. Duke Energy Shoreline Review

In late March, our contact from Duke Energy reviewed growth around the shoreline and provided guidance regarding which trees could be removed/replaced/limbed, to improve views of the lake. We were very pleased with his review/approvals, and in April began to proceed with his recommendations. Additionally, the Board also approved the removal of any hanging branches etc., above the 804 line, as part of our beautification process. All this extensive work is nearly completed and will provide improved views of our beautiful lake.

3. Resident Requests

Four owners requested approval for landscaping plans, all of which were completed.

4. Landscaping Process

We are in the process of developing a form, approved plant list, and guidelines for owners to use to request approval for landscaping work prior to installation or change.

5. Pressure Wash Landscaping Border Walls in Phase I

We have received Board approval to pressure wash the landscaping border walls throughout the community. This project is scheduled for July 2026.

We want to thank Mike Funari for his help through the years and look forward to working with Wallace Martel and the Advantage Property Management team.
